The MSHP Secretary
The function of the Secretary is to act as the principal officer
of the Society for corporate matters and maintain all necessary
correspondence, minutes and record.
The MSHP Secretary shall:

Record and maintain Board and committee minutes in a neat and
orderly fashion including all official actions taken by the
Society.

Assist the President in preparing the agenda for each Board
meeting and ensure that meeting notices are mailed to the appropriate
persons.

Maintain and index all resolutions, policies and directives
adopted by the Board of Directors in the minutes to facilitate
appropriate implementation.

Maintain all official correspondence of the Society, keeping
the Board members, officers and the entire membership, if needed,
informed about communications received affecting the Society
and the practice of institutional pharmacy.

Be responsible for the filing of all reports, certificates,
tax returns and other documents required by any statute Federal
or State.

Keep the Board of Directors and ASHP informed of any changes
in the corporate charter, Constitution or Bylaws.

Ensure that a current directory of the Society Board of Directors,
officers, committee chairmen and affiliated society presidents
is maintained and distributed as required.

Maintain a list of ASHP and other reference materials relevant
to Society operations and distribute as appropriate.
