The function of the President is to participate in MSHP activities,
further the goals and objectives of the Society and represent the
Society during his/her year of office.

Serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Call meetings of the Board of Directors.

Appoint chairmen of all standing and special committees (with
Board approval) for his/her year of office.

Develop and facilitate plans for achieving goals and objectives
of the Society for the year in keeping with strategic plan.

Keep the membership of the Society apprised of the activities
of the Society. Contribute to each newsletter during his/her
year of office.

Represent the Society at all affairs, programs and activities
of the Society or shall arrange for substitute representation
if necessary.

Visit an official meeting of each affiliated society to bring
greetings and inform members of MSHP activities.

Represent the wishes and direction of the Board of Directors
on matters of Society interest.

Serve as the primary contact for the Society with ASHP. Disseminate
ASHP information to the membership as appropriate.

Be an ex-officio member of all MSHP committees to facilitate
communications.

Serve as a voting MSHP representative to the PPAC.

Approve all official correspondence of the Society and coordinate
all official correspondence with the Secretary to ensure that
copies are retained.
