The Membership Committee shall:

1. Maintain a current membership list.

2. Develop lists of potential members for active, associate, retired, technician and student membership categories. Sources of potential members are ASHP, Affiliated Chapters, the Board of Pharmacy, pharmaceutical exhibitors and Schools of Pharmacy. Recruitment letters will be sent to these persons as deemed appropriate at least once a year.

3. Review the Membership Brochure as to composition, layout and content each year and revise as deemed necessary.

4. Ensure that membership renewal notices are sent to current members at the appropriate times.

5. Coordinate all recruitment and renewal activities for the Society.

6. Work with Affiliated Chapter Liaisons in the recruitment of and coordination of the joint membership program.

7. Establish contacts in Missouri hospital pharmacy departments, Schools of Pharmacy and other strategic locations for the purpose of on-site promotion of membership activities.

8. Extend an offer to the members of the graduating classes of UMKC and St. Louis Colleges of Pharmacy for a MSHP membership.

9. Determine the student members in each local affiliate and encourage their membership.
