Joel Hennenfent, Pharm.D., MBA, BCPS was named the Pharmacist of the Year by the Missouri Society of Health-System Pharmacists at their recent Annual Meeting. Dr. Hennenfent received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1997. He then spent a year as a Pharmacy Practice Resident at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center. In 1998, Dr. Hennenfent began his pharmacy practice as a Clinical Coordinator at St. Louis University Hospital. He reached the position of Director of Pharmacy Services in 2006, after which time he accepted a position as Director of Pharmacy Services for Broadlane. Dr. Hennenfent is presently the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services for Aspen Healthcare Metrics, a MedAssets Company, which acquired Broadlane. In 2007, Dr. Hennenfent also received his Master of Business Administration degree.
